Hobby Lobby Creative Center: Taking Business a Notch Higher

One can never measure another one’s success in business. When one does not think about success as a lifestyle then it can never be his’ to fathom. For many to whom success is spelled m-o-n-e-y, nothing can ever hinder them from receiving more than what they expect.

That’s how David Green thinks about his business’ success. From a simple enterprise and now a big retailer of collectible items in the US, David founded his store in 1972 in just seemingly a small portion of land. With a vision of delivering products that are not just marked collectibles but also items that people love to collect, David managed to make his own business boom exponentially. His business was named Hobby Lobby.

Hobby Lobby now stands in a 2.6 million square feet land and distributes collectible items in 352 stores and in 37 states in 2005. Not to mention the big manpower he has to support the demand of the business. All this never came easily. Though David has all the adrenaline and positive notions on his business, misfortune plagued the business he established. For 20 years, the company felt an overwhelming overturn. Like many companies, they have suffered low income due to indefinite factors. However, David never came to a point of surrendering. Considerably, those downfalls are made stepping stones of the company and successfully expanded in numbers.

Primarily, Hobby Lobby is a major distributor of craft-making accessories that are used in making scrapbooks, albums, and other art crafts. The company also distributes frames all across the country. Cookie jars and other collectible items are the products most sought after by costumers from Hobby Lobby. As proof to that, there had been plenty of articles and websites that promote Hobby Lobby’s collectible cookie jars.

The crafts that Hobby Lobby sells are guaranteed original and most of the crafts are patterned on seasons. Take for example the cookie jars. Cookie jars comes in different designs according to the season the country is into or the feast being celebrated. Candles are also designed and patterned the same way as their other items. Examples of these holidays are St. Patrick’s Day, Christmas, Easter and Valentine’s Day.

Hobby Lobby does not just sell art crafts and collectible items; they have also tried and conquered selling toys. Hobby Lobby is one of the major distributors of Radio Controlled toys. It is very well known in selling RC toy planes, helicopters, boats and cars. The store does not just sell items but also accessories and parts for the item itself. There are also Hobby Lobby stores that offer repairs of RC toys. One good thing about Hobby Lobby is that they do not just sell RC toys but they also trade yours with others. Meaning, they also buy used RC toys and resell it after they have modified it. That is one way of saving money on the part of the customer especially if the customer wishes to buy a new RC toy and have not enough money for it.

Hobby Lobby is known for serving customers in the best way they can, with utter customer satisfaction. They are also known for Christian songs being played all over the store. It seems to be the trademark of the company.

As part of David’s commitment to serve, he opted that his stores be closed during Sundays. This is part of his pact with God; serving other in Christian spirit eternally.
